Accommodations

The conference hotel is the Hotel Lincoln Chicago, located at 1816 N. Clark St, just 3 blocks (~1/2 km) north of the Conference venue. A complimentary breakfast and wireless internet is included in the hotel rate.

A block of rooms has been reserved for the period June 15-23 at a rate of $150.00 USD per night (before taxes). You must make your room reservations before the May 25th cutoff date in order to guarantee a room at these rates. Transportation

Chicago is served by two major airports: O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport. Details on these airports and ground transportation from these airports can be found at the link http://www.flychicago.com/.  The workshop hotel is approximately 24 km from each airport.

Within Chicago, transportation is usually by taxi cab or through the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus and rail systems.  The CTA web site http://www.transitchicago.com/  can be used to map your travel route (i.e. – O’Hare Airport to 1816 N. Clark Street).  Transit cards can be purchased and value can be added to transit cards at vending machines located at all CTA rail stations.  Vending machines accept $1, $5, $10, and $20 USD bills, and all coins except pennies and half dollars.  Credit cards cannot be used to purchase transit cards at the station.

Getting to the Hotel Lincoln Chicago from O’Hare Airport:

Board the CTA Blue Line train towards Forest Park and get off at the Clark/Lake station.  Transfer to the Brown Line train towards Kimball and get off at the Sedgwick station.  The station is approximately 0.9 km from the Hotel Lincoln.  The fare is $2.00 USD, and the trip will take ~1 hour.

Getting to the Hotel Lincoln Chicago from Midway Airport:

Board the CTA Orange Line train towards the Loop and take it to the Clark/Lake station.  Transfer to the Brown Line train towards Kimball and get off at the Sedgwick station.  The station is approximately 0.9 km from the Hotel Lincoln.  The fare is $2.00 USD, and the trip will take ~50 minutes.

Taxis are available immediately outside of the baggage claim area of both airports.  Depending on traffic, a taxi will cost approximately $35.00 USD from either O’Hare or Midway Airport to the hotel.

Airport Express is an independent shuttle bus company that provides shuttle service to and from the airports.  Note that when booking with Airport Express, if you book 3 or more at once the rates go down. Rates and more information can be obtained at the website:
