Meson properties in the light and heavy flavor sector are investigated in potential quark models. In particular, the meson spectrum, decay constants, electromagnetic form-factors, and radiative transitions are studied and compared to lattice results. Relativistic corrections and higher order diagrams are analyzed. A chiral relativistic quark model that is based on the QCD Hamiltonian in Coulomb gauge is also explored.
