Hadrons in Medium - Theory meets experiment

Masses and interactions of hadrons have been predicted to change when these hadrons move inside the nuclear medium. Some of these changes have been linked to QCD phenomena such as chiral symmetry restoration or color transparency. In this talk I will summarize our present theoretical understanding of these phenomena, both for hadrons nearly at rest inside nuclei and for hadrons moving quickly through nuclear matter. I will also confront these theories with experiment.
