Long-Baseline Neutrino Experiments
Physics Division Colloquium - 21 Jan 2000

The hints and then discovery of neutrino mass in the atmospheric neutrino sector have motivated a new round of neutrino experiments from accelerators with long baselines to study neutrino properties in a similar region of parameter space. One such experiment has started running (K2K), while others are under construction (MINOS, ICANOE, OPERA). Already the next round of neutrino experiments using so-called neutrino factories from muon storage rings are being planned. I will attempt to put these experiments in the context of the goals for present and future studies in the neutrino sector.
