Fundamental Physics with Cold Neutrons at the Spallation Neutron Source - the Nab experiment
Argonne Physics Division Seminar - 3:30 PM, 10 Oct 2016
Building 203, Conference Room R-150

At the Fundamental Neutron Physics Beamline of the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Lab, a series of precision experiments is being carried out. In this talk I will discuss the study of free neutron beta decay with the Nab spectrometer, which is presently being installed at the beamline. The goal of the Nab experiment is to determine the coupling constants in weak interaction. The results allow to search for new physics beyond the Standard Model of Elementary Particle Physics.
