The QCD EoS at finite temperature and chemical potential(s)
Argonne Physics Division Seminar - 8 Sep 2014

I will present the result of an analytic three-loop hard-thermal-loop perturbation theory (HTLpt) calculation of the thermodynamic potential of a finite temperature and chemical potential system of quarks and gluons. I compare the resulting pressure, energy density, etc., and the diagonal/off-diagonal quark susceptibilities with recent lattice data. I show that there is quite good agreement between the analytic HTLpt results and lattice data for a variety of observables down to temperatures on the order of 200 MeV. In addition, I will present results of a recent resummed four-loop calculation for the quark susceptibilities which shows that there are small corrections when going from three to four loops.
