Physics Division Colloquium - 10 Nov 2006

The particle physics program in the US has recently developed a roadmap for the future of the field in the context of the worldwide program. In this talk I will describe the physics underlying this roadmap, the assumptions, scientific, financial and others, made in establishing the roadmap and describe the components of the roadmap. As part of this the program of the Argonne HEP division and the role that Argonne can play will be explained, as seen by the speaker. I will conclude with some observations about the general direction of particle physics in the future.
