New Equipment Reviews (for all new equipment the construction or use of which may contain activities of greater than low risk.)

Physics Division General Safety Committee performs reviews on new equipment.  The Physics Hazard Analysis & Proj Review Form is used to provide the necessary information for the review.  Contact the Chair of the Committee or Tom Mullen (2-2879) to schedule a new equipment review.

Review of all Radiological Issues

The Physics Division Radiological Safety Committee.  Contact the Chair of the Committee or Tom Mullen (2-2879.)

Review of all Pressure Vessel or Cryogenic issues

The Physics Division Cryogenic Safety Committee.  Contact the Chair of the Committee or Tom Mullen (2-2879.)

Review of all Electrical Issues (except as noted below.)

The Physics Division Electrical Safety Committee.  Contact the Chair of the Committee or Tom Mullen (2-2879.)

Review and inspection of new electrical equipment

Review of Proposed new ATLAS experiments

The ATLAS Program Advisory Committee.

Minor changes made to ATLAS experiments.

NEPA Reviews

All projects and new equipment that do not fall within the ANL Bench Scale Exclusion for NEPA must undergo a NEPA review.  Contact Tom Mullen (2-2879) to determine if a review is needed.
