The Superworld, The Braneworld, and Our World

I will introduce supersymmetry and its potential role in solving one of the central problems of particle physics, the Hierarchy Problem. I will also discuss how extra spacetime dimensions may in turn help to alleviate some of supersymmetry's adverse side effects. Signals of both supersymmetry and extra dimensions may appear in the next few years in particle collider experiments. The presentation will be quite non-technical.
