Toward a complete study of mesons with the Bethe-Salpeter equation

Recent studies of meson spectra and properties using the Dyson- Schwinger equations of QCD have prominently shown two aspects of this approach: on one hand, the feasibility of a comprehensive study of meson physics has emerged. On the other hand, so has the need for improvement in our description of the underlying mechanisms. I will present the status quo together with an outlook on the steps to follow.
