Problems related to gauge invariance, Lorentz covariance and canonical quantization applied in nucleon structure study

In this talk I will review the debates for the last few years after our proposal of the gauge invariant decomposition of the momentum and angular momentum of a gauge field system (atom in QED and nucleon in QCD) into its constituent contributions. Including the difference between the gauge invariant decomposition and gauge invariant extension, the inhomogeneous Lorentz transformation law for gauge potential, the compatibility between gauge symmetry and Lorentz covariance and the Lorentz invariance of gauge fixing, the physical meaning of the parton distribution, etc.
