Baryogenesis from an Earlier Phase Transition


I will discuss the matter anti-matter asymmetry of the Universe, and explain how the Standard Model of particle physics comes close to explaining it, but does not quite succeed. This leads me to consider an extension which uses an earlier phase transition in the early Universe to drive the baryon asymmetry. The model predicts new particles at the TeV energy scale which are potentially visible at the Large Hadron Collider.
