Collective modes in the color-flavor-locked phase of quantum chromodynamics


A preliminary study of low energy effective action for the collective modes of the color-flavor-locked phase of QCD will be presented. I will describe the modes associated to fluctuations in the magnitude (Higgs mode) and in the phase (Nambu-Goldstone, or phonon mode) of the diquark condensate, within the framework of microscopic High Density Effective Theory. The possible role of interaction processes, i.e. superfluid vortex-phonon scattering in compact stars, will be discussed.
