E-906/Drell-Yan Station 3 Tracking Chamber Review

We request that you review the design of the new E-906/Drell-Yan station 3 tracking chamber.  Your review should include, but not be limited to

   1. The ability of the chamber to meet the rate and resolution requirements for E-906/Drell-Yan;
   2. The geometry of the station and its acceptance for Drell-Yan events;
   3. The mechanical properties of the chambers;
   4. The electrostatic properties of the chambers; and
   5. The construction plans for the chambers.

In this review, two chamber designs will be presented:  first one using an entirely new, very large chamber and a second option in which two smaller chambers.  Please consider and give comments on both of these designs so that the collaboration can evaluate both proposals.  I would appreciate having your written comments as soon as possible, but no later than the first week in May 2009.  To facility this, if your committee has any requests for additional information, please submit these to us by Friday, 17 April so that the station 3 chamber team can quickly respond to them.
