Recent progress in quantum computation, networking, and simulation with trapped ions
Argonne Physics Division Colloquium - 15 Feb 2013
11:00 AM, Building 203 auditorium

In this talk, I will review recent experimental and theoretical progress on realization of quantum computation, networking, and simulation with trapped ions. In particular, I will talk on ideas to solve the scalability problem for quantum computation and a recent proposal to use trapped ions to explore a new state of the matter -- the so-called space-time crystal.
