LHC accelerator, Higgs factory, and a long-term strategy for High Energy Physics
Argonne Physics Division Colloquium - 11 Apr 2013
11:00 AM, Building 203 auditorium

This talk will review the performance of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) achieved so far, including a few accelerator highlights; the plan for the next ten years, with operation at nominal energy; LHC upgrades for increased luminosity (“High Luminosity LHC”); as well as proposals for future higher-energy hadron colliders (“High Energy LHC”, “Very High Energy LHC”) and circular e+e- Higgs factories in the same tunnels (“TLEP”, “LEP3”), outlining a possible coherent long-term strategy for high-energy physics.
