Origin and Structure of the Universe: The Neutrons Point of View
Physics Division Colloquium - 25 April 2008

In order to reveal the mysteries of our present universe, the study of neutron properties can give important input, in particular up to timescales of a few minutes after the big bang.. The information retrieved can come from the neutron properties themselves (EDM/lifetime) or the neutron decay itself acts as a laboratory preparing excellent experimental conditions. This talk will give an overview on precision experiments with neutrons and also describe the experimental machinery required in order to progress to the next generation of experiments.
