A general pool of electronics is available to all users. Most modules used in typical nuclear physics experiments are available from the pool. However, because there is likely to be more than one research group setting up at any given time, it does not necessarily follow that all modules are available to one particular group. In fact, to help you meet your electronic needs as efficiently as possible, it is recommended that you contact ANL in advance. For detailed information contact A. H. Wuosmaa ((630)252-6545). Several of the more complex experimental devices (e.g., magnetic spectrograph, BGO gamma ray facility, FMA, APEX ...) have dedicated electronic systems.
The electronics pool database is kept on a PC in the ATLAS Dataroom. This system can be used to check out and return modules in the pool, check for the availability of modules, and list modules by type, etc.. This computer is not available on the web or any network.
The list of which modules are currently in the pool can be found here.
